Several months after their last adventure in the desert, the O’Connell’s had finally found peace in their lives as they settle back down in their large mansion back in London. However peace was never meant to last for long for the Medjai Ardeth Bey had walked amongst their doorstep one fateful evening and had introduced them to yet another adventure. But this time the adventure has no true story for the key artifact within this adventure, the amulet of time travel has the ability to travel to different locations, never staying in one spot for a long period of time. Now the O’Connell’s find themselves in yet another deadly race against Imhotep and the Djed (yet another secret society). With many twists and turns in this epic tale the fate of humanity lies within your hands. This is Evil Eyes, an intermediate to advance RPG based on The Mummy. More?

When the Medjai arrive at the Djed campsite they find themselves in the middle of a sandstorm created by Imhotep in which was used for their means to escape. (The World Is Not Enough) Upon escaping the Djed (and villains) they end up boarding their train in which is headed for Cairo. The next location of the amulet has been put into play by the three who can actually locate it, Imhotep, Anck-su-namun, and Evelyn. (The Dangerous Game) But much to the heroes and Medjai’s dismay, they find themselves far behind from the Djed, for their only means of transportation cannot keep up with a train.

Date And Time: September 9, 1933 7:34 am Setting: Medjai Camp Weather: Sunny, hot, no wind
The rider was out of Cairo, and into the desert before the hot Egyptian sun had risen all the way. The ebony gelding she rode moved at a steady trot, conserving energy just in case. She slowed the horse to a walk the minute the sun rose, she loathed being so slow, but it was the safe thing to do. She tugged the rim of the cowboy hat she wore lower down, a slight breeze blowing the white button down she wore out like wings of a bird.
It was an hour’s ride to where the Medjai had first camped, it was the halfway marker to where they would still be, she had kept in touch with one of the Medjai, but not the chief, not him. She wished beyond wish that Ardeth had understood her. When the world was on his back, she would offer a warm embrace, she would protect him, and his people to make him happy, just to make him feel her love. She would never do him wrong, she could set aside her pride.
She’d go hungry, she’d get black and blue, but here she was riding back into battle, not only for Evy, and her family, but for him. Somewhere a storm was raging in a sea, the winds of change were blowing wild and free, and Rory O’Connell was back. No more the weakened woman in love with the Medjai chief Ardeth Bey, she could throw that part of her away with a toss of her head, but it was the fact that she didn’t want to that scared her.
Rory knew there were a million reasons why she should’ve stayed in Cairo, but here she was riding back. All she had to do was pull herself into the fortress her mind and heart so thoughtfully put up when she saw him, and it would be fine. She had thought about him for the whole week she had been gone, she had had moments in the market place where she thought Ardeth could use that knife, or he would like that gun.
Another hour, then thirty minutes went by, and finally she saw the camp. She halted her horse Cahan on top of a dune. Her brown eyes glinted in the sun as she surveyed the place below her. So this was it, this was what it felt like to ride back into a home, and out of someone’s life. She had found a reason to go, she had found a reason to come back, the question was would she find a reason to stay. Did he even know the hurt she had received; the worst part was that she had thrown her heart out there like an idiot.
She clucked her tongue, and Cahan began trotting forward. “Here we go again,” She whispered, hips rolling with the horses movements, before she qued a rocking canter. Rory knew that if he felt the same they would have to let each other in, which meant letting him know everything, and that was something she vowed she would never do. She rode into camp at a trot, nodding to the ones who welcomed her back. She stayed on the horse for a few moments, her last bit of pain hung around, and she dismounted. This was it. She took the saddle bags off, was pointed to her tent, and her horse taken from her. Rory set her things in the tent that had been prepared from her note sent to them.
She swallowed hard, stepping back into the sun, taking the hat off, and tossing it back in her tent she stood for a moment unsure of where to go, if she was going to see him, or she could just hang around and hope he never knew she came back.
