The Scenario

Several months after their last adventure in the desert, the O’Connell’s had finally found peace in their lives as they settle back down in their large mansion back in London. However peace was never meant to last for long for the Medjai Ardeth Bey had walked amongst their doorstep one fateful evening and had introduced them to yet another adventure. But this time the adventure has no true story for the key artifact within this adventure, the amulet of time travel has the ability to travel to different locations, never staying in one spot for a long period of time. Now the O’Connell’s find themselves in yet another deadly race against Imhotep and the Djed (yet another secret society). With many twists and turns in this epic tale the fate of humanity lies within your hands. This is Evil Eyes, an intermediate to advance RPG based on The Mummy. More?

 The Dangerous Game
« Thread Started on Aug 6, 2008, 3:20pm »

  • Date and Time: August 26th, 1933. 5 O'clock AM.
  • Setting: Djed Train, Egypt.
  • Weather Conditions: Hot and no breeze.
It had been five o'clock, in one of the carts of the Djed train, to which case Evelyn still remained dormant in her own dream world. But in the mists of her dream slowly beginning to end, within the cart and the couch that the female had been lying on, she could begin to hear voices from the outside world of her own little dream land. She had been dreaming of a rather abnormal dream, the dream itself had seemed to be unrealistic. Within London, she could picture herself being moments away from touching the amulet of time within a club of some sort. She could not recall the title of the club, for the dream had simply seemed to swipe her off her feet and lead her into the building before she could read the title on the building. Within one of the rooms of the building lied the amulet, in which case Evelyn could not seem to examine it in time before she had been rudely awakened by the talking from the Djed in the cart she had been placed in.

A brown pair of eyes would soon begin to slowly open, her right hand beginning to move towards the direction of her face. The mere hand would begin to move bangs and hair from covering her eyes, in which case Evelyn would finally widen her eyes further to a point in which one could tell she’s awake. For a split second just as her vision was getting into place, Evelyn would turn to look towards the Djed that had been sitting on the other side of the room. ‘Medjai?’ Evelyn thought, although quickly realizing the colors on the uniforms they had worn she would immediately knock that thought out of her head. She had still been with them as far as she could recall, however where they had been had seemed to confuse her the most.

Now as one could only imagine, Evelyn’s thoughts had seemed to journey endlessly, for she could not seem to recall on how she winded up on a couch at all let alone their current location. She could not recall much of what had happened, but everything had simply appeared to be as one big blur. But what she could take notion of was that she had still been in the hands of the Djed much to her dismay. She began to wonder on the status of her own family but she would not ask the men in the room. She had a feeling that they would know absolutely nothing about it; however that alone would only place the woman in an uncomfortable state.

Evelyn began to move slowly upward as she would sit up on the couch. While still lying on it, Evelyn knew to make no form of sudden movement that would seem rather suspicious. She had no idea on their current location let alone if she was anywhere near the Creature and that horrid woman. But perhaps while she had the chance maybe she could speak to the pharaoh. Certainly enough he could not be busy currently.

“My father? Where is he? May I speak to him?” Evelyn questioned one of the Djed, speaking in Ancient Egyptian. One of the Djed on the other side of the room would only seem to turn to the other men, rather dumbfounded. “Speak? Seti is currently resting. Of course you cannot speak to him.” One of the Djed seemed to laugh at her ridiculous comment, but that alone would only put Evelyn into a form of slump.

“Excuse me? Where are we exactly?” Evelyn questioned, looking towards a different Djed. The Djed in which she had been speaking to had seemed to be guarding one of the doors to the other carts, however that alone seemed to question Evelyn. Just maybe she could get enough information out of them as possible. She however highly doubted such, for she was uncertain as to how smart the Djed truly were. She knew that the Medjai were smart, she knew that they had seemed to have quite a lot of knowledge, but the Djed? She knew absolutely nothing about other than to what she had heard from the Medjai.

As unfortunate it may have seemed, Evelyn did not receive a response. The Djed had taken notion as to his orders; however Evelyn was uncertain as to why he hadn’t. Surely enough it was a simple question to respond to, a simple enough question that would have canceled out many others, but not receiving an answer would have seemed to only bring out even further questions. Evelyn would then turn her head towards the opposite direction of the Djed, much more towards the wall that had been decorated with red curtains and other various objects. It almost seemed rather puzzling, for the room itself did not seem as though they had been within the pharaoh’s temple. From what she could remember of the temple it had been decorated in gold, covered with various forms of hieroglyphics. This room however just seemed to be rather ordinary and plain, much to her dismay, for she had wanted to explore that temple further. But as it seemed the current locations on which she had been journeying to accompany by the Djed she would not be aware of. She hadn’t even recalled the last location except for it was the pharaoh’s temple, for which matter it seemed to be a chain of events.

( Sorry if it seems dull and cut and pointless. /= I’m lacking in muse. She left moi when I finally get sleep! ;.; )

Imhotep's coal black eyes shifted to the window beside him at the whirring scenery of endless sand. Just above the horizon of the dunes, Ra began raising the sun. The ball of fire rose slightly over the earth half way, casting a golden glow on the lands below. The region began to slowly light up. Soon, the ruins and shadows of night dissipated as if the sun never went down. To the High Priest's knowledge, Evelyn had to have been close to arising from her unconscious sleep soon. It had been hours since her energy flow was blocked as it was only a temporary coma. With Anck-su-namun sleeping in his powerful and secure arms, Imhotep considered visiting her small quarters in attempt to acquire any vital information that they did not have knowledge of already. She would most likely be puzzled enough as it is, and a thought hit him. What if he were to take advantage of her short period of her confusion?

Unable to sleep and uncertain of the next point of where the amulets lay, Imhotep carefully moved the sleeping Anck-su-namun away from his body that acted as a cushion. He cradled her in his arms gently and looked down at her unconscious face. Softly, his fingers ran against her cheek and down her neck before returning her to a position where he thought would be comfortable against the matted seat. Imhotep bestowed one last glance at his lover to ensure he did not awake her, then carefully got out of the furniture. Quietly and swiftly he made his way through the narrow isle of the locomotive against the force in which direction it was traveling.

With that, the High Priest noiselessly slid open the doors leading to the next car of the train. There on either side of him were two Djed guarding the exits of the room should she attempt to escape. They nodded obediently in acknowledgment to their master while keeping a tight grip on their guns. His black, penitrating gaze flickered to the figure laying against the wall who seemed confused, as if she were in an unfamiliar station. However, Imhotep was pleased to see she was once more concious. Despite this pleasure, he restrained his face from any emotion as to not cause any harm to their current situation. The last thing he needed was Evelyn hysterical if an explanation should happen to arise.

"Ah, you are awake. Good." Imhotep spoke in an even tone with no trace of any emotion. He did not move quite yet with an indifferent expression to allow Evelyn to prepare herself of his abrupt appearance. With one mere glance, he nodded his head slightly to the guarding Djed who instantly left the room. Satisfied the two were unaccompanied to allow the O'Connell to become more comfortable, he slid the door behind him shut without turning around. As Imhotep could not bluntly ask her of all she knew of the amulets, he instead started a casual conversation, something he rarely ever did. However, because this was a part of his tactic, he was forced to use his last resort. Perhaps this could lead to unintentional clues of the items' whereabouts.

With his hands folded behind his back, the High Priest swiftly moved to the other couch facing the one she lay in. He looked into her brown eyes indifferently without his giving any emotion away. Imhotep began to nonchalantly speak as if they'd been conversing as friends.

"How was your dream?"

((BLEH. I'm really sorry for the crappiness. ;.;))

Anck-Su-Namun had fallen asleep a couple of hours ago seeing how she and Imhotep had settled the matters at hand down and there was no hurry to move away from her lover. For the first time since their last resurrection, Anck-Su-Namun was able to fall asleep in the arms of the High Priest making her feel secure and loved once more. Her breathing was slow and drawn out yet she could still smell the man in her dreams as clearly as if she were awake. Dreams in which they were filled of him in ancient times where her body was painted in golden and black body ink and half the entertainment was to try and not get caught by the pharaoh by not smudging the ink on her and they succeeded. They would have continued to succeed had it not been for the last time when Pharaoh came to visit her unexpectedly.

Anck-Su-Namun would feel the lost of heat that was around her as she snuggled into matted cushion of the seat she was left on. Anck-Su-Namun unconsciously rubbed her face against his palm and exhaled happily at the feeling. Her hand moved up to replace his as he left her alone to continue her slumber though oddly enough when he left Anck-Su-Namun her dreams would slowly shift to something totally new. The dark haired female’s head would toss from side to side as the dream shifted from the pleasant dreams of her and Imhotep. In her dream, she would see the haze, or fog, disappear clearing up so that she may be able to see what was in front of her only to realize that she was nowhere in Egypt. The buildings were different all around but the one that caught her attention was the building in front of her where people would be moving along. The name on the building read “Club Scorpion” and before she would be able to investigate the area any more her vision clouded up once more as she heard the metallic sound of the wheels of the train hitting the track in its rhythm.

The sound becoming clearer and louder would make Anck wake up, her dark orbs adjusting to the small streams of light coming into the train cart from the windows. Anck-Su-Namun sat up straight as she stretched her body before relaxing once more, “Scorpion…” she would mutter quietly as her mind played that little part of the last dream she had, or was it a vision, for it didn’t feel like a dream. She turned around to look around in the area she was in only to find that she was alone and that Imhotep was nowhere to be found.

Anck-Su-Namun would stand up and stretch once more, moving like a feline as she did. The dark haired female took a few steps towards a mirror that was in the cart to look at a mirror that happened to have been placed there. Her hand rose up to her check where it was still slightly warm, remembering the feeling of Imhotep’s hand on her cheek in her dream or was it a dream. Shaking her head she would take her hand and fix her slightly disordered hair and fix it to make it look decent once more. Her fingers would comb through her hair as she slowly combed the dark mass with them. She would sigh once more, “If Imhotep does not show in a couple of minutes, I’ll look for him to tell him about the dream.” She would think to herself.

Evelyn had remained staring at the wall before her, for which matter Evelyn had no true desire to talk to the Creature. She had been lost within her own many thoughts, including to the explanation of her own dream. To her surprise she had contained the ability to see where the amulet was, but how come she didn’t have the ability to find it by the exact location and journey before them? Evelyn being the type to question herself endlessly had seemed to remain silent, thinking of ways to answer her questions. Perhaps there was a reason to this; however Evelyn had no true desire to ask the other to ability holders their insight. There was no way she was going to get involved in their group, for Evelyn was not going to let down her family let alone the side of good. She could only stand strong and try to withstand anything that had been coming her way. She however was uncertain if she could do this any longer in her current position, for she had tried to escape countless of times and she had continuously failed. She had failed the first time when facing the Creature, she had failed in her second attempt against Anck-su-namun, and from what she could recall she had lost the third time right when her heroes were about to show their faces. She could only pray now that they had been safe and not harmed for she had no idea of the outcome of the battle. She was not even certain on which team had won, for she was uncertain as to their current location.

Evelyn had then continued to remain to converse with herself in her own little world, her confusion still strong. While facing her wall, Evelyn would raise a brow after hearing the Creature ask her about her dream. How did he know that she was dreaming? Did he have that strong of a hold on her? If so, Evelyn now instantly shook some while lying on the couch. She could not stand the mere thought of her privacy being invaded by the devil himself, she could not stand the thought of being in the clutches of the Djed, and she could not stand the thought of whether or not her family had been in danger. One could say that her family had been her number one priority aside from adventures in which had seemed to be a rather big hobby….or addiction at that that she could not seem to escape. But either way though her family’s safety had always came first, and thus one could definitely say that her mind had been strictly set upon them and her questions, but most importantly them.

At last, Evelyn’s thoughts reverted back to the dream she had contained about the amulet. Perhaps that would seem to get her family off of her mind and stop her from worrying. She however knew that, that would never happen. Within her mind the mere location of the amulet itself seemed to be of great question. Within her dream, Evelyn had witnessed the location was within a club of some sort from what she could recall when people were dancing and having a good time. However when her dream had moved to a new room, Evelyn had witnessed a storage room of some sort that seemed to be crowded with various equipment to use in the club itself and it had been covered by various tools and underneath items which would require quite a bit of men to move.

At this thought, Evelyn began to question even further on why the location would be at a club. She however would try her hardest to make sure that the Creature wouldn’t sense that she had been thinking, for she was already feeling uncomfortable with the fact that he had known that she had a dream. Well, then again, Evelyn had always seemed to have a dream of some sort, rather it be based on a vision or based on something random. She was even more so surprised that her dreams now weren’t based on her family, for she could only imagine with the current position they were in that she would have dreamt about them in some shape or form.

Moving up a little bit higher, Evelyn had instantly turned to face the wall even further, to a point in which she had hoped that the Creature could not see her eyes. Her arms had been placed in front of her stomach and had been wrapped around one another, almost as if she was attempting to shield her body from the Creature. However within a matter of seconds Evelyn’s right hand would then move towards her face once more and cover it, almost as if the many thoughts that had journeyed within her mind had been giving her a slight headache when it hadn’t. She could only hope that with her trying to shield herself that he would get a good hint as to leave. There was no doubt about it that the female had no desire to talk, so why continue to converse?

The Creature carefully observed Evelyn's actions. He was aware she was extremely stubborn and difficult, so her current state of mind did not move him in the least bit. Imhotep thankfully had all the patience in the world for things like these. Her incompliancy was anticipated, as it would make her consequences all the more enjoyable to perform. However, he could wait. It would be no good to harm her so soon. Not only that, but the O'Connell seemed lost, as if it were partially unintentional that her attention was elsewhere, not anywhere within the train. It appeared plausible that she was thinking of her beloved family he knew she missed so dearly. Or perhaps there was something different plauging her mind so, in which he was curious. Perhaps Evelyn had new information on the current whereabouts of the amulet, or maybe she had known all along. Imhotep wanted to get into her brain, and although his abilities did not have the power for just that, he knew how mentally.

Continuing to watch her although she would not speak or for that matter even returning his steady gaze upon her, his coal black eyes caught movement on her features. It seemed as though her eyebrow swiftly raised in question to his previous mention of her dream. This action that seemed it should've been highly insignificant instead greatly interested him. The only thing he could think of for such an action was that either was she was curious as to why he'd asked, or something went on in her dream she did not wish for him to gain knowledge of. Imhotep would continue to press her with his actions though not language, as he was now curious as to why the simple movement intruiged him so. He kept a steady and intense gaze upon her for quite some time in attempt for her to crack under the pressure. If this ploy did not succeed, he would continue with others. Reverting to a different idea, his eyes moved to the window for a few moments in thought.

"You seem confused, lost in thought," he stated mindfully, assuming his thesis of the amulet's location was correct. His coal black eyes shifted back to meet the side of her face. This did not anger or agitate him, he merely waited, and then continued on. "What is on your mind?" Imhotep lowered his voice to a softer and not so cold volume, as if to persuade her to explain. Even if it was only to inch in, he wanted to get inside of her head. As he'd known her for years, he knew she had many visions as Anck-su-namun did when she was reincarnated in Meela's body. He would press her for as long as he could to gain information of where it lay. She could not escape him. Even if it was forced or it was necessary to do some physical harm, he was determined to obtain her intelligence. If this did not prevail, he would resume to other tactics, in which he would force Evelyn to regret becoming absolutely silent. The Creature gave her time to reply, should she begin to talk. However, when she did not, he too became silent.

Within only listening to the continuous hum of the train riding against the metal tracks, Imhotep realized she would not speak even after coaxing her. Not only was the O'Connell hushed, but she would not even spare a glance at him. He stared intensely for a few minutes before allowing himself to speak once more. "Look at me," Imhotep commanded. His tone instantly became authoritive and dark, although patient still. Should she disobey his orders, she would deeply regret her insolent insubordination. Imhotep's hard glare bore onto Evelyn who's drifted gaze remained upon the wall beside her. He was certainly disconcerted at this point, but nothing of him showed his irritation what so ever. However, the High Priest paused to give her time to respond to his demand. The O'Connell was a fool to defy his wrath. Now he had to resort to force her to obey.

Imhotep rose from his sitting position, rising to size her up. With his ebony eyes narrowing, he glared down at her. He then turned his back and swiftly made his way to the door before pausing briefly.

"I have given you your chance. Now you shall pay."

Anck-Su-Namun after finishing fixing up her hair would take care of other small details on her person, especially making her rumpled clothes look a little more presentable, even though she would only want to see one person but she wanted to look presentable if only for him and only him. Had it been the Pharaoh she were going to see, which she was not, she would make sure she was decent looking and not caring much more of her state, alas that was not the case. Her mind had been plaguing her as she thought of the vision she had towards the end of her slumber. She had only the name of the location but she didn’t know where the location was at or if the amulet was around or in the building she as shown. Seeing how the name was prominent and seeing the entire building she believed that the amulet was hidden inside the building but how much longer would it stay in its location she did not know and for this reason she felt the urgency to speak at once with Imhotep, unfortunately, she would not be able to do so at that instant.

The dark haired beauty took a deep breath as she looked at the door, ‘He is probably talking to her trying to get information from her.’ Anck-Su-Namun looked back at the mirror, her dark eyes would look at her reflection in approval before, standing up with a grace that only a few had and walked towards the door to see if her assumption was correct. Opening the door slowly and quietly to exit and enter the other cart she would close it quietly so to not disturb the conversation or whatever was going on at the moment there. Standing there quietly she noticed that she had been right in her thoughts.

She would hear Imhotep question the princess, who was still laying down where she had been left when they had departed from Seti’s camp grounds. Evelyn would not answer Imhotep and her insolence was grating on her nerves as she didn’t respond to her lover. Anck-Su-Namun would move closer to the laying female and with her left hand she would grab her by the black blouse she wore, pulling her to sit up roughly before taking her right hand and slapping her hard across the face. “You SHALL answer Imhotep.” The slap that she had bestowed on Evelyn would resound sickly in the moving vehicle as she took pleasure at the stinging sensation that was left behind on her hand. She would command the female after he had not answered him. She would wait for a response from Evelyn from this. She had stepped a couple of steps back as she looked at the female waiting, not looking even once at Imhotep.

Hearing Imhotep rise from his position, Anck-Su-Namun would look at his back, letting her eyes roam his back before following him visually with her eyes once more. Hearing the warning, more like the promise, come out of her lips, Anck-Su-Namun could not help but smile internally. By defying Imhotep she was putting her family in danger, not that it was not before hand, and it would be all her fault. She could have tried to reach an accordance with the male but she had not tried instead she had stubbornly refused to answer his question. Being fed up with the female, her hand would move to take her long brown hair in her fist before moving her head to look straight at her. The last thing that Evelyn would see was a smirk that was painted across Anck-Su-Namun’s face before she pulled her head roughly against the wall of the train cart they were currently in, since the couch she had been laying on had been against the wall. The Impact of the hit had been hard enough to knock out the female but not hard enough to cause her any damage, perhaps only a bruise and a bump. She removed her hand from the female’s hair as she took it back near her persona.

Anck-Su-Namun stand up straight rubbing her hands together as if dusting off her hands as she glared at the female cursing her mentally not really caring about the repercussions. The female would turn around the skirt of the black dress she wore slightly flaring as she turned to look at Imhotep without a trace of emotion in her face. She did not know if she had done a good thing or not, but perhaps if she knew that they were being serious about what they were telling her what they were going to do she would reconsider and it would be easier to extract the information from her instead of having to wait. In any way she wanted to talk to Imhotep alone so in the end, at least in Anck-Su-Namun’s mind, it all seemed to work. Her eyes moved from the floor up slowly to sweep up Imhotep’s body taking a deep breath as she took a step forward to follow him back to the cart they were possessing for the ride to Cairo so that they may privately speak together. Speak and impart information that needed to be imparted on to Imhotep to see what he could make off of it and lead them to their next destination was awaiting him and what new developments would surge up because of this information.

In truth, Evelyn could seem to truly care less about any of the threats that had seemed to be pulled against her at the time. If her family was not alive then she truly had no form of fear in the world, for her family had always seemed to have come first beforehand. They could threaten her to a point of no return, or perhaps even attempt to kill her, but alas there was no chance that she would actually give up any form of information she had known let alone speak to them. She had absolutely refused to do such for the way they had treated her. If they were to get to Evelyn it was as if walking through a brick wall. You would not make it unless you had absolute power and something that she had truly cared about. For now, Evelyn had absolutely no idea on the status of her family. She had assumed that her family had been killed if the battle that had begun earlier had taken place if they had been there or if otherwise Imhotep could have sent Djed to the campgrounds to kill her family. In which case Evelyn truly had no hope left, however the only thing in which she could seem to give hope towards was the Medjai, for she would not reveal any information in which she had contained. Imhotep could command her all he wanted but it was of no use. The woman would just simply remain silent.

It wasn’t until Anck-su-namun came in however and began demanding. When she had demanded and pulled her up by her blouse, she would notice a small rip for the material hadn’t been all that strong. A small form of smirk would seem to appear on her face when she would look towards the rip in her blouse and back up towards Anck-su-namun. While it was rather simple to go out and buy clothes that alone had seemed to put the woman on a point in which she definitely would not say a word. The one way to work with Evelyn was almost as if you were talking to a child. Kindness and reassurance was the key to handle the rather courageous woman.

Taking a rather bold move on her part, Evelyn would tilt her head and a small form of smile would seem to appear on her face as Anck-su-namun held onto her blouse and slapped her. Upon the slap Evelyn would unleash a spit from her mouth that had been aimed towards the woman. If it was to hit her it would hit her face or her neckline, in which case Evelyn truly would have no form of care in the world on the consequence. In her mind she still seemed to have nothing left, if there was a small form of hope it was that her family had either been alive and well. That was the only place in which there was even little chance of getting the woman to speak, however she would not even speak even upon their behalf unless they were alive and well and right in front of her as Evelyn knew that even with her speaking chances were that the Creature would have killed them anyway. She learned her lesson as of now for there was no form of chance that she could actually go against him or has anything against him. However this had only seemed to be a mere bluff for at heart the woman would do anything for her family if they were in any form of danger.

“I would NEVER tell anything to beings such as yourselves! You WILL get what is coming for you!”

That was the only form of speech in which Evelyn would give towards the two, for which matter when Anck-su-namun would grab her and throw her against the train wall, Evelyn alone seemed to be placed back into her own little dream world for it had been far too sudden for her to respond. She had expected Anck-su-namun to simply sit there and behave like the mistress of Seti she was, however they had been in a completely different area now. She was even uncertain as to whether or not Seti had been around to actually be able to witness such an action committed by his mistress. But perhaps with her own words they would actually get a hint that she had no desire to talk with them let alone give out any form of information that she had known. She had automatically assumed from Imhotep’s constant pestering that they had probably known that she had, had the dream based on the amulet. That was the only thing in which she could seem to come up with a conclusion on for their rather forceful behavior and which to that matter if it had been something else that they had been in search for by making such demands Evelyn was uncertain as to what it could have been. All she knew was that she would not talk, she would not speak, and she would not even dare to look at them in the eye or converse in a serious discussion. She had to remain as firm as possible.

As Imhotep watched Evelyn carefully although she would not return even a small glance, he studied her actions. Her thoughts seemed elsewhere, away from the rest of the world. She didn't appear concerned over anything he threatened or had to speak of, which interested him greatly. His curiosity arose. Perhaps the poor O'Connell had lost all hope of her beloved family come to rescue her from the sinister clutches of Imhotep himself. Or perhaps there was little hope of her family's current existence. Despite her silent despair, her will and spirit remained strong. The High Priest found himself contemplating when and how to break her, to succumb her to his will. There would be no knight in shining armor for her to run to now, for it would be impossible for the Medjai to catch up with the transportation of a train against horses that would tire. However, the tracks of the locomotive could potentially present a problem. They were easy to follow and could uncover the villains' intentions of their next location. Imhotep considered ripping out the iron staked deep into the sand but quickly decided against it. Eventually the damned heroes would find them, and that could only hold them out for so long. He came to the conclusion that it would only become a waste of energy.

Abruptly, Imhotep was drawn out of his train of thought by movement beside him. The sudden maneuver caught the High Priest off guard, surprise hitting him. However, he did not present his emotions. His coal black eyes drifted from attempting to meet the O'Connell's gaze to the graceful figure alongside the aisle. It did not shock him that Anck-su-namun had awakened , for the sun had risen only minutes ago. But it did startle him she had slipped in the cart without his knowledge. With his impeccable hearing, he caught not a sound wave of the entry sliding open or closed. Perhaps he was too deep in thought to regard the insignificant action. But Although Imhotep was pleased at Anck-su-namun's unexpected appearance, it concerned him that Evelyn would now cease all hope of speaking in her enemy's hated presence. Even so, he would ensure to obtain the critical information one way or another. Imhotep considered the advantages of erasing her memories right then, but keeping those of the amulet. Perhaps when she would eventually gain knowledge should the Medjai attempt to return her recollection, it would damage her to know she had unknowingly given the villains what they wanted.

He was once more drawn out of his dark plans by the resounding of hard contact with skin echoing off of the metal walls. As much as it pleased him to see that his mistress executed what he wished to do although would not perform, Imhotep shot a stern glance at Anck-su-namun whom had just slapped Evelyn mercilessly across the face. However, when the captive's lips curled into a triumphant smirk, his ebony gaze narrowed dangerously. Patience, he reminded himself. It would not be difficult, though, for he contained a vast amount of just that and tolerance. Eventually he would inch his way into her brain. He would just have to wait. It seemed as though physical harm did not move her in the slightest, however. If this did not torture her, Imhotep contemplated mental pain. True, he was unable to threaten her with her cherished family, but there were threats far more vile and rotten. He knew since Evelyn had recently eavesdropped so rudely on his sinister scheme, she was aware of what would soon happen. But what if he threatened to push it into play quite earlier than expected? Perhaps then she would be willing to cooperate. Imhotep desired to perform just that, but he first needed to consult with his mistress. Perchance she would have a better understanding of the current situation at hand.

With one last cold glance at the female laying silently against the wall, Imhotep sighed and stood from his position upon the seat. Swiftly and with authority the High Priest made his way down the aisle to the end of the boxcar. He had expected Anck-su-namun to obediently follow as she usually did, but there was no noise of her footsteps carrying gracefully behind him. It was common when they had the rare chance to spend time together, they were inseparable. Of course, this was without Seti's ignorant knowledge. He halted at the exit of the train and paused after his promising threat to the uncooperative Evelyn, waiting patiently. Swiftly Imhotep moved to draw the sliding door aside quietly, but did not inch closer to the exit. With the unexpected puny threat and only words of Evelyn, his eyebrows raised in surprise, though he did not turn to face her. “Oh?” Was all he spoke. A small form of a low cackle erupted from his chest. He was not at all intimidated by her courageousness in the least bit. It merely caused his lips to curl into a cocky smirk. She could hector him all she wished, but it did not affect him. The nuisance would soon be rid of soon enough. Expecting more of her useless torment, Imhotep was only responded to with a hard clang against metal that rang out through the locomotive. He quickly spun around to meet the source of the metallic noise and was greeted with the sight of Evelyn strewn across the seat unconscious with his mistress dusting her hands as if she'd gotten herself dirty. His coal black gaze met with hers without any emotion.

“Anck-su-namun, there is no need for such violence just yet.” Imhotep answered evenly, though there was a hint of scorn within his tone. The O'Connell would not enjoy waking from her unconscious stupor. However, it would be a relief that she would not function for a few hours. Perhaps then the two could negotiate what to do with their third side of the pyramid. He had tucked his idea to the back of his mind, for he observed his lover carefully. It appeared as though she was anxious. Perhaps she too had news to share. Dropping his scorn, his facial features looked that of concerned. Imhotep reached over and took her hand in his large one as to lead her through the doorway while questioning her. When they reached their destination, he dropped her hand to slide the door shut. “What is plaguing your mind?” He asked in a hushed voice should anyone intentionally overhear again. Imhotep could only hope it was something he desired to hear, for they needed no more troublesome stitches in their side.

No one in her entire existence had ever spat on Anck-Su-Namun and the only occasion that someone Might have gotten close to her face it was during the fight with Nefertiti in front of Seti I but of course Yours Truly come out victorious and without a single scratch or bump. Unfortunately that could not be said for her opponent. With an insignificant sigh she would grab a piece of cloth that had been laying around near the princess to wipe off the spit that had managed to land on her chest as she frowned in disgust as she threw the rag to its original place.

Imhotep’s voice resounded in her ears shaking her out of her daze, picking up her head she would look to Imhotep as he reprimanded her. With a cocky smile she would look at him as she took a step closer to the male, “Of course but such disrespect should be dealt with according and my actions were justified. I thought I was behaving accordingly addressing her behavior as such.”

Keeping her peace once more she would slip into the memories of her dream, wanting her legs to move but apparently her thoughts were too occupied to even obey the commands that she wanted to issue you out. As the male took her hand in his, she did nothing but intuitively followed him. Perhaps her body just needed a push to do both things at the same time. Hearing the door close behind them, Anck-Su-Namun would look to find themselves in their own train cart though for a second she did not realize where she was at. Blinking her eyes, she allowed her mind to catch up with the visual she was receiving looking up at Imhotep. Taking a deep breath as moved to take a seat and relax out stretching her hand inviting Imhotep to sit along with her. “Before I woke from slumber, my dreams shifted. It was not a dream I had it was more of a vision.” She took a deep breath releasing it slowly as she closed her eyes to try and envision her dream once more.

“I was shown a street and I stood there but the atmosphere did not feel like that of any part of Egypt that I have been. There were …different buildings there and the main building that caught my attention was a building that had the name of Scorpion,” She took in another deep breath as she opened her eyes, “Club Scorpion. That is all the information I was able to see through the vision as soon as I read the title on the building, the vision clouded and I awoke from my slumber. Though this is a step forward yet… I wasn’t given the location of where this building is.“ Her lips tightened as she thought about it before looking at Imhotep wondering if he would know something about the location of the place she mentioned.

Although Imhotep's rebuke was sharp with authority and wiseness, it did not appear to strike Anck-su-namun in the least. It only brought a smug smirk upon her lips that many were allowed the privilege of witnessing. He only sighed in response, though she did what he wished to do to Evelyn, even if it was an inappropriate action. Imhotep always knew how to handle the nuisance of an O'Connell to a better degree. His pink lips curled into a smirk, for he was proud of his mistress. He led her into their private boxcar before replying. “Let's not be so hasty, now, shall we?" But after their previous actions, the girl would unlikely respond to anything, even if he cooed to her so to speak. It would only endanger their scheme if she were once more manipulated into Nefertiri, due to the Pharaoh. There were many other questions on his mind. When would they rid of Evelyn, how would Seti react, and what would he possibly believe when they intended to cover it up? There were several theories the High Priest found plausible, but he would need to consult with his mistress first. Pushing aside his thoughts, Imhotep moved closer to her and brushed his fingers tenderly against her exposed collarbone to remove any residue of the saliva Evelyn had so rudely spit upon her. By this time the grin upon his face subsided, only a gentle expression remaining.

When she looked up at him and took a deep breath, his usually cold and indifferent gaze turned soft. She looked so innocent, almost too innocent. But before he could react, Anck-su-namun lowered herself to the seat before them and stretched her hand out invitingly. Although this caught him off-guard, Imhotep did not object and took her slender and graceful hand within his own broad one. He too descended next to her as to accept her invitation. His coal black eyes watched her carefully with curiosity embedded within them. Perhaps now she would explain what she wished to tell him, his curiosity burning to know. Perhaps she would tell him what he wanted to hear. But as his mistress began to speak, Imhotep's coal black gaze drifted from her to the ceiling, tracing the hidden patterns etched upon the tile concealed in only his mind. Although it did not appear he was not attentive, that was not so. He listened intently of the beginning of her dream that eventually emerged into a vision, interested in where it was going. This intrigued him, and Imhotep's now extremely curious gaze swiveled to meet hers once more as she began to elaborate on her vision.

As his lover began to go into further detail of the dream, his brows furrowed slightly in concentration. The vision was not in the realm of Egypt, far beyond it's expansive region, in fact. His mind began to soar with ideas of the new location, but he saved them for later as he continued in listening. If the buildings appeared foreign, then perhaps the amulet's next location could potentially lay anywhere across the world. But if it was necessary to gain the amulet, Imhotep would travel the extra lengths without any hesitation. Now it was just the matter of pinpointing the exact site. The name of the building in which he was sure the amulet lay in wait to be uncovered, lest it should disappear again. The name of the specific building embedded itself into his brain. "Scorpion..." he repeated quietly to himself as to not forget and keep it in storage for later. This completely twisted their plans already. But since they were closing in on Cairo already, there was no use to turn around completely. Perhaps there was something waiting for them there, for the trip was destined for some opportunity or maybe even an advantage.

By this time, Imhotep's contemplating gaze had returned back to the metal plates of the ceiling. Club Scorpion? This struck a nerve. Was it perhaps a gathering of some sort; a celebration? It did not seem likely that Anck-su-namun would know where it was or what it was, but it was a building none the less. Foreign buildings...perhaps if she described further, it would possibly hint their next location. Not only this, but Evelyn contained information about the hidden amulet. There was no possibility that she would speak to him now after his mistress knocked her out. Perhaps they would have to use the easy way out, to just wipe away her memories and then have her explain. Wouldn't that be a terrible blow to the O'Connell? He desired to smirk devilishly, though he held it in. She was correct, it was a step forward, though something of a baby-step.

With a concentrated expression, Imhotep looked to Anck-su-namun, as she was expecting some form of reply from him. Maybe if she were to explain the buildings, but he was concerned with other things. Slowly, he began to speak of his idea. "I believe we can obtain the information if I erase her memories, except those of the amulets. Then she will oblige to share with us its location." He said lowly, if someone should hear. When their voices drifted off, the room grew instantly quiet. Imhotep now focused his attention to the abrupt shuffling in boxcars beside him, drowning out the continuous hum of the metal wheels against the steel tracks. They were muffled, though he could make out familiar voices. One of such was Seti's. It did not surprise him in the least the Pharaoh had awakened so early, but the muffled shuffling was steadily growing louder, as if he were drawing closer to their particular room. Concerned, he shot a look towards the sliding door, then Anck-su-namun. Although they were extremely close to their victory and information of the amulet, they still could not allow Seti to catch them together. This frustrated him, for the Pharaoh was a nuisance, just yet another stitch in their side they could not rid of until the time was right.

Sighing in irritation, Imhotep allowed his hand to unravel from hers, though he cherished one last, short kiss with her. Reluctantly pulling away, he cradled her chin within his thumb and index finger. "I am afraid it is my time to part." His tone allowed apology to seep. "I will return when I can." Nodding slightly, he ascended from the seat and quickly made his way to the door frame. He gazed at her longingly one last time before exiting swiftly and quietly, just in time to completely avoid the nuisance of a Pharaoh.
